Title of the Position: Tile Installer

Main duties:

- Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Align and straighten tiles
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
- Estimate costs and materials
- Utilize hand and power tools
- Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
- Determine layout and installation procedures
- Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
- Prepare floors for installations
- All other relevant tasks

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time

Language of Work: English

Wage: $34.25/hour

Location of Work: different locations in Greater Toronto Area, Ontario

Job and Skill Requirements:

- 3 years of experience as a tile installer
- Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling and Repetitive task
- Attention to detail and Fast-paced environment
- Personal characteristics: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player, punctual, organized and flexible
- Completion of secondary school

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $34.25 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
