**Your Role**:
We are currently seeking an **Intermediate-Senior Human Factors Engineer** for our Pickering, Ontario office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Human Factors Engineering ensures that the system and design are compatible with the sensory, perceptual, cognitive and physical attributes of the personnel who operate, maintain and support the system.
- HF Specialists work as part of multi-discipline teams to analyze information and evaluate existing and proposed designs under the following frameworks: CNSC G-276, CNSC G-278, NUREG 0711 and CSA N290.12.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in Engineering or Science specialising in Human Factors Engineering or related discipline (e.g. systems engineering)
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or eligible for registration shortly
- 7+ years of related working experience in a design environment within the Canadian Nuclear Industry is considered an asset
- Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
- Must be able to obtain Canadian Federal security clearance
- Well-developed technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated experience of working in a collaborative team environment (e.g., share technical knowledge, mentor junior staff, contribute to healthy productive technical discussions on HF technical elements and methods, etc.)
- Proven ability to be flexible, adaptable and work under tight schedules in a fast paced environment
- Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.
- OPG or Bruce Power experience is considered an asset

**Additional Information**

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
