**SCHEDULE**:Monday - Friday, Days**

**WAGE**:$20.00-25.00 per hour**

- Join our team as a Wash Plant Labourer and play a critical role in efficiently supporting the operation of the matting wash plant and its accessories. In addition to supporting the operation of the wash plant equipment, the Wash Plant Labourer will also operate heavy equipment, such as skid steers, front-end loaders, forklifts, and other pieces of equipment. You'll be responsible for operating the equipment in a safe and competent manner, adhering to legislation, policies, and procedures. The Wash Plant Labourer also performs cleaning, maintenance, and securing of all equipment as directed.

**HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE (RESPONSIBILITIES)**
- Clean and prepare work area, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
- Ensures all equipment and facilities needed by workers to enable them to work effectively are made available and are in good condition.
- Signal heavy equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
- Load, unload or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications
- Report all incidents and/or accidents to the Health and Safety and Management
- Participate in training in heavy equipment operation to load and unload equipment and move material.
- Perform pre-trip inspections, daily safety and maintenance checks and action items accordingly (lubricate, grease, etc.).
- Ensure the equipment is safely and securely stored upon completion of use.
- Complete in a timely manner all required paperwork and submit to appropriate parties.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and/or property damage.

**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? (REQUIREMENTS)**
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is a minimum.
- 1 year of related experience is considered an asset.
- Able to participate in equipment training (skid steer, loader, forklift, etc.).
- Valid safety certifications in CSTS, First Aid are required.
- Ability to work in the outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.
- Successfully pass a drug and alcohol test and health assessment including a 35 lb. fitness to work test.
