**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, maintaining a positive dining experience.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food service equipment.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety standards and prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements for assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Support the kitchen team with cleaning duties, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries regarding meal options and dietary restrictions.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments is preferred.
- Background in the food industry with skills in food preparation and cooking is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff members.
