**Job Description**:

We have both full and part-time positions available for the summer, with the potential to continue afterwards for those interested.

Position Summary

Kaplan International Teachers are responsible for all aspects of classroom management within their designated classes, as well as adherence to the Kaplan curriculum, helping international students achieve their academic goals through English language instruction and preparation for standardized tests. We are looking for charismatic, talented, and professional teachers who can provide international students with an outstanding educational experience.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Teach lesson in-class following all COVID-19 safety protocols
- Teach classes using Kaplan curriculum, across multiple levels, as assigned
- Prepare lesson plans according to established syllabus
- Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, including maintaining classroom facilities
- Maintain accurate record keeping for daily attendance and student performance
- Complete all paperwork within required deadlines
- Attend staff meetings and in-house workshops; participate in ongoing teacher training programs
- Become familiar with and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Tutor students as assigned and if available
- Work with academic supervisor to improve delivery of Kaplan academic programs
- Accept and incorporate feedback on classroom performance to ensure positive and meaningful student experience
- Effectively communicate with school administrative staff regarding planned and unplanned absences; provide clear instructions and materials for substitutes
- Demonstrate a positive and 'team building' attitude in the workplace

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Approved TESOL Certificate or equivalent
- Superior skills in creating a dynamic, interactive classroom experience
- Demonstrated team building skills in the workplace
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- TESL Certification or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience teaching ESL in a group setting
- Experience with industry, international students and/ or overseas teaching experience
- Experience teaching Test Preparation courses (IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge), University Pathways courses and/or Business courses
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- One or more foreign language ability
