**RESPONSIBILITIES***:
**Leadership**
- Demonstrates ability to function as a strong, inspirational leader capable of motivating and mentoring others to action.
- Upholds best practice standards and current evidence with instructional technology and virtually simulated-based education.
- Liaises with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders to promote and implement a shared and realistic virtual simulation vision in alignment with SOHS strategic initiatives.
- Develops and implements continuous quality improvement activities for the virtual simulation program.

**Curriculum Development**
- Acts as an expert resource when collaborating with faculty in the integration of virtual simulation activities into curricula adhering to best practice standards.
- Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles, assessment strategies and simulation-related theory and practices with specific focus on instructional simulation-based technologies.
- Collects and analyses data for annual evaluations.
- Prepares, updates and maintains database of virtually simulated cases, materials and assessment tools.

**Operations**
- Prioritizes and aligns business case development including performing current state assessments and gap analysis on virtual simulation initiatives.
- Collaborates with Simulation Manager and Simulation Leads to operationalize virtual simulation activities.
- Identifies budgetary needs for implementing virtual simulation education activities.
- Acts as the project manager for the development of in-house virtual simulation programs.
- Organizes the ongoing support for the use of XR hardware and software in the SOHS.
- Recommends hardware, software and related resources.

**Faculty Development**
- Designs, develops and updates workshop materials for faculty for virtual simulation integration, including content for the Simulation Faculty Pathway (SimPath) as required.
- Provides effective mentorship and coaching for novice and developing faculty.

**Scholarship**
- Demonstrates a commitment to supporting all faculty for ongoing personal development of virtual simulation expertise (formal and informal learning opportunities) and scholarship activities.
- Attends and participates in appropriate organizational workshops to keep current on educational theory and practice in the use of virtual simulation in health science education.

**Service**
- Is an effective team member on committees, special projects, task forces.

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS***:

- Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related experience in health care simulation, instructional technology, or virtual simulation development, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge and experience leading educational technology projects and processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within organizations and with individuals and teams.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, experience generating reports and using project management tools.
- Experience working with D2L LMS and Articulate 360 products preferred.
- Current simulation education credential (CHSE, CHSE-A) preferred.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in the design and composition of creative, high quality, interactive learning materials, preferred.

**Salary Range**
- Salary Range: $63,150 - $110,238 per annum.**Additional Salary Information**
- Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.Position Details
