Linux Systems Specialist

**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Creating Linux images for our POS Terminals. Ensuring correct drivers, remove support software and ease of deployment.
- Maintains assigned system security and backup/recovery procedures for our servers.
- Help deploy and maintain our system on Google cloud as well as on premise
- Provides recommendations for hardware, systems software, and capacity budgeting & planning.
- Develops, tests, and documents disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Enforce system security measures and Participate in control implementations for PCI and SOC certifications
- Perform system maintenance, configuration, and schedule regular upgrades
- Assist with the onboarding of new Volanté clients, adding new servers/back offices to the existing infrastructure
**What We're Looking For**:
- A strong working background in Linux (preferably Redhat and Ubuntu), as well as scripting
- Knowledge of web server software, nginx, Apache HTTP
- Basic knowledge of SQL Database maintenance and use
- Previous experience with Open Source Software & Configuration
- Excellent communication skills - both in verbal and written correspondence
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work outside regular business hours if required
