We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a full-time Commis Chef at Nobu Restaurant, Toronto. In this entry-level role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced chefs while contributing to the preparation and presentation of Nobu's signature dishes. **Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Ensuring that all kitchen areas and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control.
- Following proper food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
- Collaborating with other kitchen colleagues to streamline workflow and maximize efficiency.
- Taking direction from senior kitchen colleagues and executing tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong passion for food and cooking.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume fine dining kitchen environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
