We are looking for **Show Technicians** on a 10 months contract to join us in delivering immersive experiences to our vistors at Toronto

**Mechanical Technician**
- MIG welding in confined spaces
- TIG welding in confined spaces
- Steel and Aluminium fabrication to structural standard
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Ability to inspect structures and machines thoroughly for cracks / wear
- Ability to plan repairs effectively and safely

**Controls Technician**
- Knowledge and experience of working with low voltage electronics
- Knowledge and experience of servo-controlled mechanisms
- Experience with automation control systems
- Knowledge of electrical distribution
- Skilled at troubleshooting

**Skins Technician**
- Skilled at hand sewing and machine sewing using an industrial sewing machine
- Experience with a variety of fabrics and latex
- Experience with costume making / repairing
- Experience with special effects makeup
- Skilled at painting fabrics and color-matching

**Job Functions & Principle Duties**
- Actively participates in the setup, commissioning, repair/maintenance and tear-down of all automation systems, rigging, scenic elements, trussing, motor systems and other associated equipment.
- Participates in site specific installation, implementation, renovation and strike.
- Leads local crews in the loading and unloading, assembling and disassembling of all associated automation, rigging and creature based equipment.
- Ensure the desired creative effect for the exhibition is achieved and sustained at all times.
- Ensure creatures are serviced and maintained according to the Animax documentation.
- Prepare creatures each operating day by performing routine functionality and safety checks.
- Communicates any mechanical or maintenance issues to the Technical Supervisor.
- Takes action to resolve all issues after consulting Technical Supervisor.
- Participates in operational coverage of the exhibit to ensure a technical staff member is always available during exhibition operating hours.
- Provide support for any exhibit maintenance when required.
- Communicates supply, equipment or part purchasing needs to Technical Supervisor.
- Completes inspection and maintenance procedures for animatronic creatures, as well as pneumatic and motorized equipment systems.
- Updates maintenance and inspection records in accordance with documentation.
- Participates in special projects including the installation of new automated show elements, and site specific promotional projects that may require custom planning or operation.
- Complies with corporate safety industry standards as well as federal, state and local statutes related to safety and the environment.
- Able to demonstrate proper response techniques and procedures to respond to all unforeseen circumstances affecting the animatronics or as laid forth by the Technical Supervisor.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety standards of all equipment and infrastructure as it relates to the project install.
- Follows and completes all automation related maintenance, repairs and training.
- Run and maintain all AV aspects of the show including but not limited to: audio, lighting, television screens, interactive displays and show control systems etc.
- Enthusiastically represents the Company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

**Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Training**
- Behaves in a professional, responsible, and respectful manner at all times.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in technical installations.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to occasionally lift/move greater than 25 pounds (but less than 50) unassisted.
- Must be able to perform work at occasional heights of up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work on several projects simultaneously in a fastpaced work environment.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and perform international conversions
- Operate mechanized devices, lift vehicles or equipment, by steering, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and man-lifts.
