Our parts department is a vital component of our success, ensuring that every repair and upgrade is supported by reliable components. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Parts Advisor / Manager to lead our parts operations and enhance our service experience.
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory & Sourcing Management**:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for a wide range of automotive parts.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Source parts from reputable suppliers, with expertise in both new and used components and a strong grasp of wholesale market pricing.
- **Customer & Technician Support**:
- Provide expert advice on parts selection, compatibility, pricing, and availability to customers and service technicians.
- Assist with technical inquiries by leveraging detailed knowledge of VIN decoding and vehicle model differences affecting parts design.
- Process parts transactions efficiently and resolve issues related to orders or returns.
- **Vendor Relations & Negotiation**:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure the best value and ensure timely deliveries.
- Stay updated on market trends and new suppliers to continually improve our sourcing strategies.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain accurate records of parts orders, invoices, and inventory reports.
- Prepare regular performance reports for management, highlighting inventory turnover, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all parts department activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
- **Sales & Process Improvement**:
- Identify opportunities to enhance parts sales through effective upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Continuously review and improve departmental processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- **Team Leadership & Training**:
- Supervise and mentor parts department staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in inventory management and customer service.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge and operational efficiency within the team.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in parts management, inventory control, or a related role within the automotive industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive parts, including the ability to source both new and used components at competitive wholesale prices.
- Demonstrated expertise in VIN decoding and understanding differences in parts design across various vehicle models.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and technicians.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in vendor relations and negotiating favorable terms.
- Leadership experience and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
