The Manager, Facility Construction and Central Services is responsible for managing, planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating municipal construction projects, as well as overseeing central services purchasing, and fleet management to fulfill the RMOW’S strategic goals. This includes working with stakeholders and user groups in spatial use planning, needs assessments, construction, renovation, sustainable purchasing methods, and vehicle inventory and maintenance. This position will collaborate and provide leadership to the Facility Construction Management (FCM) team that includes electrical services, Building and Central Services that includes Stores/Purchasing, Fleet Management, and Garage services. Key responsibilities will include implementation and development of a project management program, procurement and contracting processes, development of departmental work plans, development of an asset management plan and policies.
As a requirement of the position, the successful applicant must hold a valid BC class 5 driver’s license and must provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract. A satisfactory Police Information Check must be submitted prior to beginning employment.
