**Job description**

Divine Academy of Learning is an educational institute of Divine Academy under the Eparchy of Mississauga that is hiring **Tutors **who have an in-depth understanding of Mathematics, Science, and English/French to take on leadership roles and to inspire elementary and secondary students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of course outline and presentation of classes
- Effectively manage the classroom to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment
- Assigning homework /worksheets, grading and giving feedback effectively with students at all levels
- Maintain proper communication with the academic director, coordinator, students and parents
- Assessment and evaluation according to growing success.
- Act all times in a respectable and professional manner
- Help students to improve critical thinking, problem-solving and writing skills
- Adhering to the spirit of Math teaching methodology and administrative system
- Available for 3-4 hours in a week for teaching in the evening online and in person on Saturday..

**Qualifications & Qualities**
- Energetic, patient and an expert at communicating with students
- Self -motivated, organized and effective team working skills
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Education and OCT certification preferred.
- Experience in working Ontario School Settings
- Exemption to OCT certification to those who teach in University / Community College
- Respect and regard for Christian values and principles
- Ability to interact with different levels of management

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
