**Title**: Director, Strategic Policy
**Salary**: $122,641 - $144,283 - $165,926 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
**Location**: Sinclair Office, Metro Vancouver located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil
- Waututh Nations. (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after Summer 2026

**About the role**

As a Director, Strategic Policy, you will provide strategic leadership in the development, analysis, communication, and implementation of the FNHA’s strategic policy agenda, framework, and ongoing policy cycle. This includes formulating and overseeing strategy, policy development, and analysis processes in alignment with FNHA’s philosophy, partnerships, and organizational design; ensuring the cultural relevance of all policy work; effectively allocating resources to support the fulfilment of priorities; coordinating and collaborating with health system partners; and supporting coherence across FNHA policies, plans, and frameworks. The Director will also be responsible for assessing the impact of current policies and leading the development and updating of FNHA's strategic policy agenda to support the achievement of FNHA's and its governance partners' strategic plans.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have;
**Education**
- University degree in Health Sciences or health related field, plus 10 years of experience in the area of strategic policy, including progressively responsible leadership roles, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Significant, recent, and relevant experience within the context of First Nations health preferred
- significant, recent, relevant and progressively responsible experience in the area of strategic policy (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years minimum), preferably in the health field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the context of First Nations health
- Significant, recent and relevant experience in strategic policy analysis, development and implementation (usually acquired over a period of at least 5 years)
- Significant, recent and relevant experience in leadership (usually acquired over a period of at least 5 years)
- Experience in working with First Nations would be an asset

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
