**Compensation**: $23-24 per hour (depending on experience)
**Hours**: 8 am - 4 pm, Full-Time, Weekends Required (Covering Caretaker’s Days Off)

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Assistant Caretaker to join our team at a large, busy strata complex in Langley. This is a full-time, contract position where you will be responsible for covering the Caretaker’s days off and supporting the daily operations of the strata complex. The role requires weekend availability and the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. As the Assistant Caretaker, you will work closely with the Caretaker and residents to ensure the smooth functioning of the complex.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide full-time support to the Caretaker, including covering their days off
- Communicate with residents and address any concerns, inquiries, or issues
- Coordinate maintenance requests and oversee contractors, ensuring work is completed to standards
- Assist in managing the budget, financial records, and tracking expenses
- Organize strata meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes
- Ensure compliance with strata rules and regulations, and assist with enforcement as needed
- Manage vendor relationships and liaise with service providers
- Oversee the cleanliness and safety of the complex, ensuring maintenance and repairs are addressed promptly
- Handle general administrative duties, including filing, correspondence, and record keeping
- Provide backup for the Caretaker in all areas of operations as needed
- Covering for Janitorial staff when absent

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year previous experience in building management is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Mature and responsible in nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Must be available to work weekends and cover the Caretakers days off
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office software
- Strong English verbally and written
- Previous experience in managing or assisting with strata and residential properties is preferred
- Covering with Janitorial when needed
- Clear criminal record check required

**Compensation**:
$23-24 per hour (depending on experience), full-time contract position

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
