**What we are looking for**:
An individual to handle and execute the organization’s purchasing/logistics process while tracking and maintaining inventory levels as well as own Maricann’s shipping and receiving process while maintaining the warehouse. The individual will work directly with operations, quality and finance to determine what needs to be purchased, how much should be purchased, source vendors and to determine shipping /receiving requirements. To accomplish this, the individual will spend a significant amount of time communicating with vendors, contractors and customers to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. The individual will oversee the warehouse, inventory control and vendor relations. The individual will be the first point of contact for all incoming deliveries and last point of contact for all outgoing deliveries and coordinates all outbound shipments, secures transportation, inbound delivery appointments and documentation.
**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**
- Source and order materials and supplies from vendors required for day-to-day operations and production while ensuring lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need
- Maintains system forecasts based on historical demand and/or new customer requirements
- Builds and maintains relationships with Suppliers, Programs and Distribution Centers to achieve and maintain the established Service Level objective
- Manage inventory levels by maintaining service levels ensuring the purchase of non-productive inventory is prevented
- Manage several contracts, programs and supplier agreements
- Create, review and track purchase order requisitions, place orders, follow-up and conduct reconciliations for various vendors
- Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material value discrepancy, outstanding and overdue deliveries in accordance with production schedules communicating a sense of urgency when required
- Evaluate suppliers and own the vendor relationship
- Oversee warehouse including but not limited to organization of goods.
- Manage and verify incoming and outgoing deliveries of all products, materials and supplies including coordinating courier companies
- Obtain product(s) from the vault and prepare for shipment including but not limited to loading and wrap skids as well as prepare and verify documentation for outgoing shipments
- Coordinate, confirm and complete required documentation for product irradiation at third party vendor including ensuring coverage of required Security Cleared Key Personnel
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing and incoming shipments to Maricann
- Maintain accurate log sheet of daily moves, inventory and counting accurately all receivables
- Upon receipt of raw materials to be used for Cannabis, work with quality through the quarantine and release process
- Ensures the vault and warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized fashion at all times
- Supply requisitions for internal departments and issue components from inventory based on departmental requisitions
- Data entry, filing and maintaining a smooth workflow
- Work safely, report all workplace hazards and follow all Maricann’s Health and Safety policies and procedures, Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements including but not limited to the Cannabis Act and EU-GMP, both domestically and internationally
- Participate in annual health and safety training provided by Maricann
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested
**REQUIREMENTS**
- 2+ years procurement experience in Cannabis, Pharmaceutical and/or CPG industry is an asset
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of fundamental concepts, principles, practices and procedures in Procurement
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical/medical device products is an asset
