- Job description:
- To maintain inventory of OEM parts for all Toromont/Cat branches and related companies through centralized corporate purchasing and the distribution network. Accountable for maintaining OEM supplier contracts, ordering emergency and stocked parts, maintaining a healthy parts supply chain (inventory turns, surplus returns, stock levelling) and uploading vendor pricing into DBS.
- Analyze and maintain inventory amongst all branches (55+) through OEM stock orders and emergency orders. Work with the mining stores for ordering parts needed for the sea lift season.
- Perform price file uploads: Work the vendors price lists to ensure the data is accurate, specific fields are being updated, and that the proper discounts are applied when updating DBS.
- To improve inventory turns and our service fill percentage: Monitoring inventory levels, returning surplus parts to suppliers or reallocating to other branches (levelling) and fill backorders from branches that have surplus.
- Parts obsolesces: To identify and reduce our inventory value of obsolete parts by stock levelling or destructions and recording info accordingly for auditing purposes.
- Reconciliation of the accounts receivables for specified OEM sources and work their assigned Purchase Orders disputes regularly to ensure prompt payment to the vendors.- Job Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft excel/word/outlook
- Work independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a group environment
- Keyboarding skills, maximizes efficiency
- Polite and courteous customer service skills, working with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Working efficiently in a high paced work environment
- PMAC designation - Purchasing Management Association of Canada certificate
- Respecting the confidentiality of companies’ business information
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-tasking
