**Department Lead - Garden Supplies**

We are looking for an energetic and passionate gardening enthusiast who is customer service focused and enjoys sharing knowledge with others.

**Overview of role**:

- Building sales and supporting the GARDENWORKS Brand by providing outstanding service to our guests
- Sharing your gardening knowledge - informing guests about care & maintenance, asking questions to assist in solving their gardening concerns
- Effectively lead and execute the product flow process, including receiving, pricing, preparing product for floor, and final placement - ensuring you have the right product at the right time
- Support training on product knowledge, the features and benefits, and recommendations to meet our guests needs and inquiries
- We look to you to bolster a positive & engaging work environment where our team can be proud of their work and are recognized for their contribution
- You will be part of the store leadership team with opening and closing responsibilities

**Is this you?**
- You have a strong passion for providing an outstanding guest experience
- A good understanding of soils, fertilizers & garden remedies (pest ID), or a willingness to learn
- 3+ years sales & customer service experience in a retail setting
- You have strong organization skills; are self-directed and love the details
- Solid strength in Microsoft Excel, and in utilizing our POS system for sales reporting
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as seasonal peaks require
- This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, the ability to perform regular lifting, as well as exposure to varying weather conditions
- A valid Forklift & Pesticide Dispensing certification or willingness to attend a paid training program
