The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a **Director of Treasury, Compliance and Risk** for our Finance and Accounting Team within our **Home Office** located at **147 Commerce Drive** in **Winnipeg, MB**.**
As a Director of Treasury, Compliance and Risk you will be a key leader in the Finance team. You will lead and guide the treasury and cash management functions, inclusive of oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, corporate taxation, insurance and other compliance. This role serves both our Canadian and US businesses.

As the Director of Treasury, Compliance and Risk you will:
- Develop, manage and oversee treasury policies, procedures, and requirements relating to interest rate, foreign exchange, credit, debt and liquidity.
- Develop, implement, and manage risk mitigation strategies to protect and optimize the company’s financial position.
- Oversee and ensure appropriate treasury processes and controls, including acting as authorization point for disbursements.
- Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable teams (each approx. 20-25 team members), ensuring effective and efficient business processes meeting objectives of safeguarding assets and being a strong partner to the needs of the business.
- Review and provide covenant compliance packages to lenders and maintain relationships with commercial banks.
- Oversee taxation compliance and risk management - working closely with internal tax team and external advisors ensure compliance with corporate and sales and use tax requirements across jurisdictions.
- Be responsible for insurance risk management - negotiating and securing appropriate insurance programs to protect the company’s assets and business interests and ensuring risk mitigation and insurance strategies are in place to manage costs and exposures.
- Conduct general compliance and risk management - ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies relating to general business practices.
- Keep abreast of all relevant technical, legislative, and general business practices relating to optimizing and frequent improvement in areas of responsibility.
- Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our framework.
- Hire, train, coach and develop a high performing Finance and Accounting team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,
- Professional Accounting or Finance designation (CPA, CFA).
- 10+ years progressive accounting experience, with expertise in treasury and compliance areas and leadership experience in a senior capacity.
- Strong technical aptitude with very high attention to detail.
- A high level of curiosity and drive for learning and professional growth, with interest in leveraging technology and tools to gain efficiencies and insights.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead professionals.
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport, with ability to travel within North America.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
