Saskay Land Development is looking for an experienced and dedicated Construction Manager to join the team
**Job Summary**
The Construction Manager is responsible for day-to-day and long-term planning and operations of Saskay Land Development. Responsibilities range from road grading, maintenance, and site preparations to construction of environmental solutions as developed by professionals. Responsible for leadership of a team ranging between 10-25 people depending on seasonal need. Additional duties include revenue generation through leasing heavy equipment to partners and area contractors.
**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:
- Collaborate with professional teams and senior leadership to develop site plans and projects
- Collaborate with Construction Safety Officer and Environment Manager to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones
- Procurement of construction materials.
- Maintain positive relationships with neighbouring community
- Maintain all required records relating to project and asset management
- Lead team of skilled and unskilled labourers to achieve corporate initiatives, managing performance in a manner consistent with corporate standards.
- In collaboration with the HR staff, all hiring, training and disciplinary activities related to the Saskay team
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Completion of Grade 12
- Relevant post secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Professional, organized, self motivated and able to lead a team of diverse experiences
- Strong communication skills with a command of the English language (written and oral)
- Valid Class 5 license
- Successful completion of criminal records check
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Financial acumen to participate in developing and managing budgets
- Experience in reading and understanding engineering documents and designs
- Proven decision-making skills within predetermined authorizations
- Experience in preparation of construction plans

**Other Requirements**
- Overtime, weekends, evenings and some travel may be required from time to time
**Salary**: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
