Olymbec is currently seeking an HVAC Technician - Refrigeration Specialist to join our HVAC team.An HVAC technician works on the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. The HVAC technician plays a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of systems that regulate thermal comfort and indoor air quality in buildings. This position is an excellent opportunity for those seeking more stability, with no emergency service calls and no evening shifts.

This HVAC-Refrigeration Technician will report to the Refrigeration Manager.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Install heating (boilers, heat pumps, etc.), ventilation, and air conditioning systems according to engineering plans;
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to extend its lifespan (filter cleaning, pressure checks, etc.);
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns (mechanical, electrical, or electronic);
- Use diagnostic tools (gauges, multimeters, leak detectors);
- Replace or adjust defective parts: motors, thermostats, compressors, fans, etc.;
- Ensure systems operate within optimal parameters for temperature, humidity, and airflow;
- Comply with health and safety regulations;
- Complete intervention reports (maintenance, inspection, repair);
- Monitor equipment to plan future service interventions;
- Advise tenants on optimal use of their systems;
- Work closely with the maintenance team and other professionals;
- Perform other related duties as required.

**REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS**:

- Vocational diploma (DEP) in refrigeration or HVAC technician;
- Holder of a **CCQ card** with code 418, journeyman refrigeration specialist;
- Valid driver’s license;
- 5 years of experience as an HVAC specialist or technician;
- Familiarity with control systems;
- Ability to read technical plans and schematics;
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make independent decisions;
- Good physical condition;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Strong communication skills in French;
- Team-oriented mindset.
