What A Bagel Eatery in downtown Toronto's Entertainment District is currently looking for employees to help with our takeout department. We are located at 130 Spadina Avenue near Richmond Street.
As the direct link between the guest and the restaurant, a take-out specialist plays the leading role in developing positive, lasting guest relationships by consistently delivering an excellent take out experience every time. The take-out specialist’s primary responsibility is guest satisfaction above all else. They must know the menus inside and out, utilize and understand third party delivery services, contribute to running side-work, and be self-motivated.
**Responsibilities**:
- Takes orders over phone and in person
- Maintains courteous interaction with customers at all times.
- Assemble food such as sandwiches, hamburgers, salads, etc.
- Prepare all food products according to approval procedures.
- Package takeout food.
- Uses point of sale system to ring in orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensures order accuracy every time
- Ensures payment is received and accurate
- Adherence of cash handling policies
- Stocking and cleaning to-go station
- Organize and label orders accurately and efficiently
- Utilize and understand third party delivery services
- Initiate actions to correct customer complaints and refers customers concerns to management immediately.
**Requirements**:
- Prior restaurant experience preferred
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must have a desire to serve guests and enjoy working as part of a team
- Must be organized with a high attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Must follow safety procedures closely
- Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekends
Operating hours are 7am-6pm M-F and 8am-5pm Sat-Sun
Currently looking to hire for Monday to Friday Shifts and Weekend Shifts.

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.50 per hour
