As part of this commitment, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced **School Cafeteria Cook** to help provide kid-friendly meals that fuel learning and development.**Position Overview**

The **School Cafeteria Cook** is responsible for preparing and serving hot lunches to students and staff, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a caring school community where your work directly supports children’s health and daily learning.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook daily hot meals that are appealing and appropriate for children
- Accommodate common dietary restrictions and food allergies
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with all public health and food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Collaborate with school staff to support special lunch events and theme days
- Foster a friendly, respectful atmosphere with students and staff

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a school or childcare environment
- Valid Food Handler Certification (required)
- Understanding of basic nutrition, especially for children (an asset)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Adaptable, professional, and calm in a busy environment
- CPR/First Aid Certification (an asset)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (required upon hiring)
