At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Salumi & Formaggi Artisan. The Artisanal Cheese and Salumi Department at Eataly is referred to as the Salumi and Formaggi (SAFO) Department and is home to more than 500+ of the highest quality cheeses and cured meats specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of them are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Salumi & Formaggi Artisan prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Salumi & Formaggi Artisan has passion for cheese and meat, and the ability to share that passion with Eataly’s guests. Reports to the Salumi e Formaggi Manager.
- Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
- Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
- Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
- Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Cleans work station thoroughly
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Basic knife skills
- Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

**Job Requirements**
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register
