We’re looking for qualified, permanent, full-time and part-time** Health Care Aides **to join our Nursing Care team at Rocky Mountain Village in **Fernie, BC**. If you're a qualified Health Care Aide, and you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you

**We're looking for someone who**:

- Respect and promote the dignity, choices and individuality of each resident by recognizing them as a whole individual with unique cultural, spiritual and psychological needs;
- Provide personal care to residents and provide assistance as required;
- Perform delegated clinical procedures, record observations, report problem or condition changes to nurse supervisor and participate in team planning;
- Assist resident and families during admission, move-out or transfer process by orientating them to other staff and residents and providing support as required;
- Use medical and mobility equipment safely, reporting any malfunctions to the nursing supervisor;
- Assist with feeding and other meal-service related duties;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements include**:

- Current registration and in good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR);
- Certificate of completion from a recognized Care aide (RCA, HCA) program;
- Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe preferred;
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Proven computer experience;
- Ability to work day/evening/night shifts and weekends and holidays as required;
- Can provide a negative TB screening test and full immunization records, and;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.

**Compensation: $29.83 per hour; this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.**
