**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare nutritious, flavourful and attractive food, following Canada’s Food Guide and the established menu, for our residents
- Assists in food budgeting, utilizing materials and food in an appropriate manner to minimize waste
- Knowledgeable of resident food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Cater for special events
- Makes recipe and menu adaptations when necessary
- Able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal

**Qualifications**:

- Culinary certificate or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of nutritional needs/food preparation considerations in a long-term care setting is an asset
- WHIMIS certification
- Clear criminal record check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Team player, works well with others
- Background in baking is an asset

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: Up to $24.56 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Weekend availability
