Construction Coordinator, Track and Rail

The City of Edmonton selected Marigold Infrastructure Partners to design and build the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT project from downtown to Lewis Farms. Construction has begun and will take five to six years to complete. Marigold is a design-build joint venture agreement between Colas and Parsons. **Position**: **Responsibilities**: Ensure adherence to Project Safety policies Develop constructability concepts and provide guidance during early phases Identify potential problem areas and improve total installed cost Provide technical direction in the field and resolve technical issues Assist in setting "conditional release criteria" for change documents Monitor and track design engineering actions items and completeness of design Assist in interpreting construction work package scoping Participate in project meetings and facilitate meetings related to execution and deliverables Implement and monitor all Track related works on site Provide input to the overall construction execution plan Maintain configuration control and approve change documents Perform quantity take-off and verification for field procured items Interface with Package Manager, Procurement, and Superintendents Monitor technical requirements and ensure quality control/assurance Assist with preparation and review of construction cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules as required Resolve technical issues and interface with procurement and design engineering as required Accept only work that meets design and quality requirements Monitor stored material to avoid shortages Implement the project's ECO plan and adhere to all legislated safety, environmental and labour regulations Prepare Field Material Requests for permanent plant materials and equipment Maintain configuration control and generate change documents and as-builts Control and interpret drawings and specifications Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans Acquire construction support when needed Manage turnover of completed project scopes Support development of trends for proposed design changes and construction engineering changes Perform other duties assigned by Package Manager **Requirements**: - Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering and construction concepts, practices and procedures with Rail experience an asset - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field from an accredited institution OR related field experience - 2-5 years' demonstrated self-performing experience in construction field, on large, complex, heavy civil rail and transit transportation projects **Skills, Competencies and Attributes** - Strong communication skills, and ability to identify and resolve complex issues - Ability to work in a cost effective, customer-focused, team-based environment Valid driver's license, preferably with clean abstract Must be able to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather, climbing stairs and ladders, steep or slippery terrain, at-heights, noise, dust and moving equipment **Disclosure**: Marigold Infrastructure Partners and its joint venture partners expressly prohibits any form of workplace harassment based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.
