UCSH is looking for a full time **Door and Hardware** **Installer** position. This position requires to travel within BC lower mainland (Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam).

**WHAT’S THE JOB ABOUT?**

Reporting to the On-site Foreperson/Field Installations Manager, the Door and Hardware Installer position is responsible for onsite service that includes door hardware installation and troubleshooting.

Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:

- Install and service metal doors and frames, access control systems, architectural hardware and commercial wood doors. Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and products
- Understand electrical schematics and know how to design and install low voltage systems for access control
- Troubleshoot electrified hardware for access control
- Provide technical support to customers
- Evaluate and verify documents on the job sites
- Load/move products as required.
- Comply with all company occupational health and safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned

**WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS**:

- Minimum high school diploma. 4 - 5 years of experience working in the construction environment
- Able to work in different environment in the construction site (hot, cold, windy, rainy, snowy, etc.)
- Able to work at heights
- Experience reading and interpreting blue prints or drawings
- Knowledge of doors, frames and hardware is an asset
- Previous metal/wood door installations experience is an asset
- Excellent physical condition and coordination to be able to do repetitive and heavy lifting
- Strong communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Required to have you own basic hand/power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
