**Description**

Key Job Elements & Responsibilities:

- Execution of the overall technical scope, providing guidance and direction to Integrated Product Team (IPTs), Physical Architects (PA) and functional organizations
- Ensure overall balanced system design is compliant to requirements, and that the product will function as an integrated system within its intended environment
- Ensure that all technical products are developed and delivered and a good balanced design is achieved within cost and schedule constraints
- Approval of system architecture, outcome of whole system trades, interface definition and arbitration, physical/functional management and technical management of the product baseline.
- Responsible for Key Performance Parameter (KPP) and Technical Performance Measurement (TPM) compliance
- Management of system space claims, weight and power allocations, performance and unit cost (SWaPP-c).
- Lead IPT and variant level model reviews
- Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and communication skills to independently lead technical customer interactions.
- Technical oversight of failure analysis for Problem Reports (PR), Technical Incident Reports (TIR) and subsequent Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Review Change Requests (CR) and Deviations. Review and technical input for Material review Board (MRB), Temporary Release Authorization (TRA) and Interim Release Authorization (IRA)
- Demonstrate behavior and willingness to develop self and team. Act as department technical mentor in your area of expertise and a technical mentor to peers.
- Stay informed on progress of key IRAD projects. Share new IRAD ideas with APT and support the transition of new IRAD developments into production programs by readying team for adoption of new technologies.

Required Qualifications:

- In depth product knowledge of the GDLS family of Light Armoured Vehicles (LAV)
- College Diploma or University Degree in a technical discipline
- At least 5 years experience in Engineering or equivalent technical position across the full life cycle of multiple programs
- Strong technical and analytical ability.
- Familiarity with requirements management and systems engineering processes
- Demonstrated ability to give presentations to internal and external customers
- Superior communication, organization and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop budgets and schedules.
- Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
- Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space

Preferred Qualifications:

- P.Eng or the ability to obtain a P.Eng
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in vehicle integration role
- Project management or team leadership experience
- Experience with military contracts
