**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Work directly with Maintenance Supervisor to lead, mentor and train millwrights & millwright apprentices to ensure effective operation of the mechanical systems and ensure direction of priority assignments to repair equipment that requires attention to prevent downtime
- Ensuring assignments are prioritized daily for crew to perform PMs
- Perform mechanical equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairing and preventative maintenance.
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Installation or assembly of machinery and equipment
- Keep all maintenance areas clean and in order
- Inventory management, ordering and record-keeping
- Ability to read and understand manuals/blueprints and troubleshooting procedures on all equipment
- Adherence to company HACCP policies and procedures to ensure product quality
- Utilize safe work practices and promote safety policies to others.
- Any other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Preference will be given if applicant has Millwright Journeyperson certification
- Previous experience in a fore person role an asset
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge and ability to assemble and commission mechanical systems
- Understanding of food processing manufacturing equipment an asset
- Ability to install, examine, diagnose, and adjust various types of industrial and mechanical equipment.
- Must be physically fit

Wages/Compensation are outlined in our collective agreement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.69-$42.19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
