As an Ice Technician, you will be part of an elite team that operates and maintains the Markin MacPhail Centers four high performance ice surfaces and all arena infrastructure. This position predominantly operates the ice resurfacers to ensure high-performance ice standards.

**What you will be doing**:

- Daily ice maintenance (resurface, scrape, edge) and arena infrastructure (dressing rooms, hallways, floors)
- Interact with customers and assist on a daily basis
- Icehouse maintenance
- Heavy cleaning role involving checking and/or cleaning dressing rooms between all rentals
- Weekly cleaning involving arena glass, showers, and deep cleaning players benches and rooms
- Routine facility maintenance (changing lights, painting, repairs, etc.)
- Assist with ice installations and major arena and Icehouse maintenance projects
- Arena conversions for sports events, concerts and other events (overnight)
- Provide direction, mentorship and performance management to Rink Attendants
- Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers, direct reports and WinSport guests
- Other duties as assigned

**What you bring**:

- Arena Operator Level 1 is an asset or 1-year miniumum related experience
- Arena concert/event setup experience is beneficial
- Forklift and aerial platform work experience is an asset
- Olympia LVR laser leveling system experience is an asset

**You will be**:

- Working in a variety of climates including extreme cold and warm weather
- Walking and/or standing for long periods of time, on even and uneven surfaces
- Working on slippery surfaces frequently
- Lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds continuously, 50 pounds frequently
- Occasional working at heights required
- Occasional overnight work required
