**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate open flatbed trucks to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly using chains, straps, tarps, and other equipment specific to flatbed operations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of cargo to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance.
- Assist with basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading operations.

**Experience**
- **Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial truck driving is required.**:

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Prior experience operating open flatbed trailers is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with freight handling and logistics operations is preferred.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enhancing vehicle maintenance capabilities.

**Skills**
- Skills in operating forklifts and heavy equipment will be advantageous for this role.
- A strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and freight handling is essential.
- Proficiency in load securing techniques specific to open flatbed transport.
