**Location**: The Office is located at the boundary of Mississauga and Brampton and the job requires presence in the Office, a few days every week.

We are looking for an experienced Senior MSSQL Database Senior Specialistto join our team As a SQL Server DBA you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems

This is a long term position for a Database professional wanting to grow with the organization in a work culture that fosters teamwork, values ownership and supports team members with training and development.

**Job Title**: Senior MSSQL Database Senior Specialist

**Job Type**:Full Time/ Contract

**Job Location**:Mississauga (Hybrid - 50% onsite: 50% remote)

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage SQL Server databases
- Perform Core SQL DBA tasks.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Handle Database upgrades and migrations.
- Capacity planning for databases.
- Working in Operations and handling Database alerts.
- Install, patch SQL 2016 through 2019.
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- At least 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or lead role.
- Experience with SQL Server Administration experience required
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
- Hands on experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills

**Preferred Skills**:
Strong experience with PowerShell and Azure

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
