We are hiring an experienced barista for our Café located in fine neighborhood, Toronto, Northyork. This position need to make sandwiches as well.

You need to be comfortable working with different equipment like oven, espresso machine.

Requirements:

- able to make all kinds of espresso drinks and present them to customers
- Sincerely greets and welcomes guests and assess their food and beverage needs through questions.
- Educates guests by presenting and explaining beverage and culinary menus.
- Sells coffee and teas by explaining unique grinds, leaves and flavour profiles.
- Prepares and sells café drinks using prescribed recipes and techniques including drip coffees, espresso-based coffees and tea steeping weights and times.
- Generates revenues by attracting new guests and defining new and expanded services.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food Handling Certificate is a must
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role, like environment and volume.
