Electrical Sub-assembler

**Job Title**:Electrical Sub-Assembler **Reports To**:Electrical Assembly Supervisor
**Summary**:Assemble electrical sub-assemblies or complete electrical control systems.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**A.** **Specific Duties for this worker classification include the following items although an individual worker may specialize in a specific task**:
Studies drawings or wiring schematics to select specified components, determine setup requirements and sequence of operations for assembly.
Measure, cut, drill, tap, mount, wire, solder and crimp components as necessary to assemble specified sub-assemblies and/or complete electrical control systems.
Confer with supervisor (or production personnel designated by the supervisor) to resolve assembly problems.
Troubleshoot and correct problems with electrical control panels.
**B.** **General Duties**:
Perform all work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario (OHSA) and the policies and procedures recorded in the Company Health & Safety manual.
Complete all job tasks in a timely manner while maintaining quality results.
Maintain all necessary documentation.
Maintain parts inventory using the computerized inventory system.
Ensure that his/her workstation area is kept clean and orderly on a daily basis.
Use and maintain all tools and equipment properly.
Assist in other areas of the department when required.
Train new and/or transferred workers as required to perform the job tasks.
Improve level of knowledge and skills through additional training.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Education/Experience**:
1. High school diploma (or equivalent);
2. one to three months of work experience and/or training.
**Language Ability**:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions in the English language; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one setting and to other employees of the department.
**Math Ability**:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
**Reasoning Ability**:

1. No certifications or licenses required;
