**JOB SUMMARY**:
In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, the **Casual Receptionist** is Responsible for presenting a professional image for the company in all aspects of reception, administrative and clerical functions. This is an **on-call casual position**.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Maintain professionalism and act in a manner consistent with FPI mission and guiding principles
- Follow all Health & Safety programs; actively participate in Health & Safety training with the purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding
- Contribute to a positive work environment focusing on Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Answer and direct telephone calls from a busy multi-line switchboard
- Greet and make preparations for all incoming visitors
- Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming faxes
- Prepare all outgoing Canadian, US and International mail in a timely manner
- Ensure the timely processing of all incoming mail, including stamping, sorting and delivering to the appropriate departments
- Arrange for local, national and international couriers as required (includes packaging items and preparation of commercial invoices)
- Order and maintain courier, office and coffee supplies
- Maintain postage meters and postage supplies
- Assist various departments (HR & Marketing) with projects as needed
- Perform data entry, including mailed in warranty cards and act as the backup for warranty orders
- Other related duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFICATIONS**:
- **Abilities/Skills/Knowledge**_
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) in English, with an emphasis on Professionalism & Customer Service
- Strong ability to build relationships (team player)
- Able to maintain adaptability, while working with structured business processes
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving skills
- **Education/Training**_
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- **Experience**_
- Minimum 2 years related office experience required
