Base Helicopter Pilot

Ascent Helicopters is a dynamic helicopter charter company in Parksville, BC with a 20-year history of domestic and international operations. Ascent offers specialized services to the aerial/powerline industry and has been awarded a 10-year contract with BCEHS to provide air ambulance service to the entire province of BC. We also have a proud history in wildfire suppression, search and rescue, heli-skiing, mining/natural resource, tourism and film/television.

**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated helicopter pilot to join our team at our **Parksville** base. This is an exciting opportunity for a pilot ready to take the next step into twin-engine intermediates, grow within a supportive and professional environment, and build a long-term career.

**What We're Looking For**:

- **Total Flight Time**: 2,000-3,000 hours
- **Type Rating**: Bell 206 - L4/L4T preferred
- **Aircraft Experience**: Light and intermediate helicopters
- **Skills**: Proficient longline experience required
- **Attitude**: Positive, professional, and safety-oriented
- **Team Fit**: Strong team player with a willingness to learn and grow
- **Licensing**: Valid Canadian CPL-H (ATPL-H an asset)
- **Additional Requirements**: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance. A clear criminal record will be required.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Parksville, BC V9P 2T2: reliably commute within a one hour distance, or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Note - this is not a touring position

Pay: $85,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
