YQR Distillery & Fermentation Lab is eagerly looking for a Brewery Production Technician to join the team and take on a key role in our upcoming brewery expansion.

The Brewer Technician will be responsible for day-to-day operations with the head master Brewer including but not limited to the sourcing of brewing, cellaring, packaging and inventory control under all the safety protocol and quality control standards to maximize customer’s satisfaction. Duties will include generating daily reports and production logs for the Production manager in brewing.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Review and manage day-to-day operations of the brewery facilities, including operating equipment, scheduling production and managing inventory.
- Contribute to the development of new product lines, with an eye for innovation.
- Assist Marketing Team to promote our company, product and develop our brand
- Manage production environment with careful attention to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Responsible for daily operations of the brewery associated operations including brewing, cellaring, packaging and inventory control in a safe and efficient manner
- Actively engage in and contribute to new product development and existing brand improvement
- Supervise Brewer technician assistant if needs
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, production, and R&D for reporting to the company administrators, directors, and others.
- Collaborate with the distilling team and supervise other staff as need be.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree (science, food science, fermentation science preferred) or related field or equivalent education experience is an asset
- 1-3 years of experience in alcoholic beverage industry (preferred)
- Experience in QC/QA in the beverage industry is a plus;
- Understanding the brewing process, experience with home-brewing, is a plus
- Must successfully complete a criminal history background check
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and production management software
- Ability to strategize and solve problem
- Experience with forklift operation / forklift certification
- Must be able to lift 25 kg over the shelf
- Must be able to move 65kg with assistance of a dolly
- Must be able to climb a ladder and handle ingredients on a ladder
- Must be able to safely navigate wet and slippery working conditions
- Must have certificate of Serve It Right Saskatchewan (SIRS), nor the work would be obtained

**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
