**Overview**
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring the well-being of client's. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various healthcare settings. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, monitoring client health, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

**Duties**
- Assist client's with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record clients' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety during transfers.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of client areas, including changing linens, light housekeeping & light meal prep
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement client care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff regarding client needs and concerns.
- Assist in preparing clients for examinations or treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is required; training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- medication administration (required)
- Criminal record check (required)
- Care aide certificate (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-07-02
