**NOTE: The start date for this position is May 2025 for 4 months.**

The Security and Information Services (S&IS) Capital Project Delivery group has a requirement for a Financial Reporting Analyst summer student. Reporting to the Director, S&IS Capital Project Delivery, the primary focus of this position will be assisting in the completion of monthly Capital and Operating financial and reporting tasks. This position will also work closely with the Director, S&IS Capital Project Delivery and the Director, S&IS Business Office.

To be successful in this position, you will be pursuing a degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting or Finance major is preferred), have sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and information.
- Verify, monitor, and code project invoices for accuracy and reasonableness within AltaLink’s financial system (SAP).
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information and undertaking analysis for review by S&IS leadership.
- Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of the 2024 SIS capital delivery project lists.
- Administration and performance of monthly controls; and
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve financial work processes while effectively using AltaLink internal programs and systems.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1st year student, pursuing a degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting or Finance major is preferred).
- Experience in SAP considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel. Interest in PowerApps considered an asset.
- Excellent problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to interface with team members to promote positive outcomes.
- Proven track record of good attendance and performance.
