**Job Summary**:
As the first friendly face guests see when they step into the Alpine Cafeteria, you’re the one who keeps the good vibes rolling. Our Cashiers bring energy, efficiency, and genuine hospitality to every interaction—making sure each guest leaves smiling (and well-fed). You’ll handle transactions, answer questions, and help keep the front line running smoothly, all while soaking up the mountain atmosphere.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Welcome guests with a warm smile and process transactions quickly and accurately.
- Know the menu inside and out—daily specials, pricing, and any promos—so you can help guests make great choices.

- Keep your workstation clean, stocked, and ready to roll (utensils, condiments, napkins, trays).
- Work closely with kitchen and service staff to keep things running smoothly during the rush.
- Handle cash and card payments carefully and follow proper till procedures.
- Jump in to help with light food service tasks, like packaging take-out orders or topping up supplies.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards to keep the space safe and welcoming.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cashier or guest service experience is a plus—but a great attitude and willingness to learn go a long way.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional with guests of all ages.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable operating a POS system and handling cash.
- ** Serving It Right** (or equivalent certification) required for alcohol service.

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long periods.
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs (supplies, trash bins, trays).
- Ready to hustle during those busy lunch rushes.
