**The Impact You Will Have**

Reporting to the Regional Head of Property of North America, the Head of Property Canda will:
- Proactively develop and execute the Property regional strategy and support the development of the global LoB strategy.- Manage Local or Canadian Property portfolio to ensure the successful achievement of global AzC Property targets.- Manage all Local or Canadian Property Underwriting staff.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.- Develop and execute Local or Canadian Property strategy in accordance with regional Property Head and global Property PC Leader.- Support the effective functioning of the AzC UW Academy by developing Property specific content.- Drive and monitor adherance to property specific UW governance framework and risk appetite in cooperation with Regional Property manager.- Identify growth opportunities for property in cooperation with Regional Property Manager / Property Regional Portfolio Steering & Pricing.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:
- Lead and Manage Underwriting Team.- Lead and manage Local team, including direct reports and matrix management of functional reports.- Manage cost center budget within plan.- Build, develop and retain respective Regional Property team in cooperation with Regional Property Head; develop Property specific content to support the AzC UW Academy trainings.- Underwriting Strategy.- Develop and execute local UW strategy for Property.- Support the development of global Underwriting Property strategy, in line with AzC CUO.- Support the development of cross Property regional strategy, in line with R&M and Regional CEO.- Steering, Controlling and Coordination.- Steer and control local line of business portfolio to drive achievement of financial targets (e.g. full combined ratio).- Drive underwriting planning process and monitor adherence to plan, taking corrective action as necessary.- Proactively liaising with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end Underwriting life cycle.- Drive and facilitate PC specific internal and external communication in the Region in close cooperation with all relevant parties; facilitation of regular exchange between the Countries with regards to the respective PC; build, facilitate and multiply PC specific knowledge within the Region.- Underwriting Approach and Compliance.- Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules, and local regulatory framework.- Referral / case Underwriting of key clients as required.- Full ownership of Local PC including respective planning, budgeting and monitoring in close coordination with Local LoB Heads, Regional LoB Head and Regional LoB Portfolio Steering & Pricing; identify and monitor Property specific claims, developments and trends.- Product Development.- Proactively support development and implementation of new and modified products.- Proactively support development and implementation of pricing tools.- Maintain executive contacts and accompany the Underwriting of all core or strategic accounts.- Make suggestions with regards to development, implementation and modifications of PC specific products, pricing, tools, processes and organizational matters.- Market & Relationships Management.- Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary).- Coordinate with local distribution to drive successful execution of strategic plan. Communicate regional LoB strategy externally.- Maintain executive contacts and accompany the Underwriting of all core or strategic accounts.- Positively represent AzC internally within the Allianz Gro
