**Building Material Sales Consultant**

At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR Certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.

We are currently looking for a **Building Material Sales Consultant**to join our team. In this role you are responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients and customers. The successful applicant is expected to meet and exceed personal sales objectives and develop a network of contacts through which prospective customers are obtained, leading to future sales.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Generate sales through personal contact with walk-in and telephone customers, repeat customers and sales leads.
- Qualify new business prospects and build an active, high potential prospect list.
- Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and soliciting referrals from these customers, where possible.
- Achieve quarterly sales quotas and the objectives of employment.
- Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, home and trade shows and open house events, as required.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven sales and customer service experience is required.
- Experience in the construction industry and product knowledge is a definite asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and work well in a team environment.
