Port Hope, Canada Maple Lodge Hatcheries - Fleming Chicks Division Full time

**Maple Lodge Hatcheries - Curtis Chicks Division** is looking for a **Transfer Supervisor** to join our team in Port Hope, ON.

Overseeing a team of 3-6 individuals. Transferring of fertilized eggs from incubators into hatcher baskets. Must be able to follow instructions to ensure that eggs are moved according to schedule and order. Vaccinating eggs as necessary, mixing vaccine as necessary. Ensuring that space is kept clean and in compliance with sanitation program. Must be able to adhere to animal welfare regulations and ensure that eggs are handled safely and without damage.

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday starting at 12:00pm to completion. Sunday starting at 9:00am to completion. Although the schedule is only 4 days per week this is a full-time position as shifts tend to run longer than 8hrs.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Must work well with others.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Must be able to withstand the physical demands of the position (i.e. lift up to 60 lbs., stand for long periods of time, repetitive bending, lifting and twisting)
- Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs (word, excel, OneDrive)
- Previous experience working in agriculture an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $28.30 per hour plus hourly premium of $1.18
