**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated, efficient, resilient and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering care to animals and clear communication to owners. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, treatments, laboratory procedures, preparing invoices, prepping patients for surgery and ensuring all these tasks are prioritized and completed in a timely manner. You will never be bored.

**Duties**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals, taking notes and creating invoices.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as running diagnostic tests and preparing samples for analysis.
- Administer and prepare medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal behavior and vital signs during treatments or recovery periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ care.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated in the clinic.
- Prepare invoices and estimates for services.
- Maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
