**SEEKING A LIVE IN CONDOMINIUM SUPERINTENDENT**
**Position**: Live-In Superintendent for a 12-story, 161-unit condominium in northwest Mississauga. This is a full-time position reporting to the Property Manager. The key focus is on cleaning the common areas of the building daily, daily checking of systems, occasional maintenance, and handling any emergencies.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, healthy environment. This includes washing floors, surfaces, and windows in the common areas, vacuuming hallways and handling waste disposal.
- Complete daily inspections of common areas, underground parking and exterior grounds.
- Respond to and manage any emergencies, including after-hours, as necessary.
- Perform checks of mechanical rooms daily.
- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and to make small repairs in the common areas.
- Enforce rules and by-laws of the Condominium Corporation when necessary.
- Meet with manager on a regular basis, as required by the Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
**Other Information**
- A part-time Superintendent works during the full-time Superintendent’s days off.
- The building sits on 6 acres of land and is surrounded by parks, and Lake Aquitaine at the rear. The common areas include an exercise room, saunas, washrooms and a small social room.
**Requirements**:
**To be considered for this position, you must be**:
- Physically fit and be capable of lifting items of acceptable weights
- Able and willing to do extensive cleaning
- Maintain the building at the level acceptable to owners/residents.
- Knowledgeable about building machinery/equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC, elevators, electrical, fire panel, irrigation systems, compactor room etc.)
- Familiar with emergency procedures (fire and water leaks)
- Excellent interpersonal, phone and customer service skills
- Proficient in English both verbal and written
- Computer literate
**Key Considerations**:
- **Hours of Work: Mon. - Fri. 8 am to 5 pm excluding Wednesdays, plus every other weekend.**
- **Must be available for after-hour emergencies.**:
- There are no dogs allowed in the building
- No smoking allowed in the building or on the grounds
- Clean Police Records Check required
- **Experience with condominiums is preferred**
