At Bay West Benefits, we offer customized solutions designed to fit the unique needs of our clients (employers and their employees).

We are seeking a team-oriented individual to complement the team. This role is part-time (20 hrs) but with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. eg. M-F 10am to 2pm.

Note: We are flexible on specific work hours, but will be on weekdays and daytime (business hours EST).

**What you will do**:

- Respond to all in-coming correspondence in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare and manage various group benefits reports & documents
- Respond to clients claim inquiries; liaise with insurance companies
- Implementation of new programs and client amendments
- Facilitate insurance provider changes with existing clients
- Interpret and prepare claims experience reports; analyze claims and create trend reports
- Support/back-up other staff members - especially during times of absence

**What you need to succeed in this role**:

- Proficiency in MS Office products (especially Excel); a high skill level in developing spreadsheets using data importing & formulating calculations
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail including strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/manage workload
- Use technology effectively to manage time and processes;
- Ability to work autonomously
- A working understanding of Group Benefits financials/accounting would be an asset
- LLQP (Life Insurance License) is an asset
