**JOB OVERVIEW: LABORATORY INSTRUCTOR, HEALTH**

Reporting to the Divisional Business Manager, this position is responsible for participating in Faculty of Health programs’ lab components by assuming responsibility for instruction, student guidance and assessment within a simulated hospital setting.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Current practicing registration with BCCNP.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong interpersonal skills and experiences in working with diverse groups.
- Current knowledge of teaching/learning theories.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Working knowledge of computers and multi-media technologies.
- Working knowledge of low, medium and high-fidelity simulation.
- Minimum three years recent diverse clinical nursing practice.
- Have a good knowledge of WHMIS and other preventative measures required for the safe operation of a nursing lab.
- Demonstrated adherence to the BCCNP Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Fluent in English both written and oral.
