**About the Role**:
We are seeking a **detail-oriented Junior Analyst** to support a Senior IT Strategy Consultant on a part-time, remote advisory engagement for a public-sector organization in Alberta. The project involves developing a **Target IT Operating Model (TOM)** and requires documentation support, research, process mapping, and assistance with strategic deliverables.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience on a public-sector digital transformation project while working closely with a seasoned consulting team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review internal documentation (IT assessments, org charts, digital strategy materials)
- Support virtual stakeholder interviews by taking notes and organizing inputs
- Assist in preparing process maps, org structure visuals, and summary diagrams
- Help draft and format reports, presentation decks, KPI frameworks, and sourcing tables
- Track project milestones, version control, and contribute to final report assembly
**Required Qualifications**:
- 1-3 years experience in business analysis, strategy support, IT operations, or consulting
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (visual structuring, reporting)
- Comfortable working independently and remotely with mínimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Availability for ~4-6 hours/week from **late June through September 2025**
**Preferred**:
- Experience supporting consulting or public-sector projects
- Exposure to IT service models, process design, or digital strategy concepts
- Based in Alberta or familiar with Canadian municipal structures
**Project Terms**:
- Part-time contract: ~60-80 total hours over ~14 weeks
- Flexible weekly workload (average ~4-6 hours/week)
- Remote work with occasional internal team check-ins
- Hourly rate**:$40-$60 CAD**, depending on experience and qualifications
