Exploration Geologist

Wallbridge Mining Company Limited focuses on creating value through the exploration and sustainable development of gold projects along the Detour-Fenelon Gold Trend, while respecting the environment and the communities in which it operates. Wallbridge's flagship project, Fenelon Gold, is located on the highly promising Detour-Fenelon Gold Trend property in the northern Abitibi region of Quebec. A mineral resource estimate completed in 2023 validated the multi-million-ounce potential of the 100%-owned Fenelon and Martiniere properties, incorporating a total of 3.05 million ounces of indicated gold resources and 2.35 million ounces of inferred gold resources._

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, remote with visits to the Fénélon site (located near the Abitibi area).

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information
- Develop and maintain project datasets, maps and other deliverables
- Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for analysis and presentation purposes
- Prepare and perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components and oversee their implementation and timely distribution to end users
- Work under the direction and supervision of a project manager or team leader
- Collaborate with the exploration team to analyze and interpret technical data
- Serve as a primary point-of-contact with internal departments and external consultants to assure mineral property maps and related information are kept up to date and reported
- Site visits will be required as needed.

**Required Skills and Abilities**:

- Advance knowledge of QGIS including creating forms, utilizing model designer, PyQGIS and QFIELD
- An understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality
- Proficiency in the processing and analysis of raster and vector geospatial data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to compile, evaluate and process data
- Experience with gold deposit geology and exploration projects considered a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to align with the company values

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree or Advanced Diploma in GIS with background in geography, geology, environmental science or similar discipline
- Experience and proficiency using QGIS or ArcGIS and MS Office
- Experience using SQL and Python or R scripting would be advantageous
- Database management skills and/or working knowledge of acQuire would be a bonus

Pay: $70,000.00-$94,938.93 per year
