We are hiring a General Manager at Splashifax Waterparks, where you can enjoy all of those things, all summer long, and get paid to do it Splashifax Waterparks offer a safe, silly, and always slippery swimming adventure where adults and kids laugh alike and immerse themselves in the ginormous, impressive span of obstacles.

Reporting to the Co Directors of Operations, the General Manager supports the Heads of Aquatics and Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations throughout the Splashifax season. This position is responsible for maintaining customer service standards, seasonal staff human resource processes, health and safety systems, and general staff management. Communication, organization and the ability to multitask are essential to the success of this position.

**Work Environment**

Splashifax Waterparks are outdoor facilities that are open rain or shine on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. An air-conditioned office will be available for breaks and computer work, but otherwise, it is a requirement that you are able to work outside and within variable weather conditions. Other aspects of our work environment include the ability to work on-call, usage of motorized boats, and bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Procurement and Planning (On Contract for Approximately May-June)_
- Hire Customer Service Representatives
- Open Season (Approximately June-September)_
- Customer Experience_
- Train staff before opening and ongoing throughout the season
- Maintain inventory and re-stock lists
- Manage POS and ticketing systems and support the Supervisors and Customer Service Representatives in their usage of it
- Manage scheduling and time-keeping software
- Responsible for the submission of daily reports
- Provide advice and adjustment about recommended changes to policy and procedure as you see fit
- Safety_
- Responsible for the day-to-day safety of guests and employees
- Ensure the proper usage, submission and storage of Incident Reports and Near-Misses Reports
- Ensure daily inventory of safety equipment is conducted
- Participation and/or ensuring a Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Maintain COVID-19 protocols set in place according to Government Guidelines
- Work with the Facilities and Equipment Manager to maintain site and site safety with the policies and procedures set in place to do so
- Human Resources_
- Responsible for performance management of Supervisors, Head Lifeguards, Customer Service Representatives and Lifeguards
- Provide support to Supervisors and Head Lifeguards as required
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures created for the management of human resources, safety, and customer service to best support their team
- Operations Support_
- Ensure the cleanliness of the site and facilities on site
- Communicate with the Facilities and Equipment Manager weekly to proactively address water and land infrastructure issues
- Work with Equipment and Facilities Manager on site logistics, equipment uses, safety and basic maintenance
- Work with Equipment and Facilities Manager to make weather based decisions based on forecasts
- Work with the Head Lifeguards to ensure the maintenance of park parts, connections, and air level

Working Environment
- Outdoor and indoor work required
- Ability to work on-call
- Occasional work in inclement weather conditions
- Role may require bending, kneeling and standing for long periods of time
- Role will require usage of boats

**Qualifications**:

- Training and Experience:_
- Minimum of five years of customer service experience
- Background in human resources or project management is considered an asset
- Experience managing a small business is considered an asset
- Valid Boating licence (can be obtained if hired)
- Valid Driver’s licence
- First Aid and CPR Training
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
- Clear, concise and professional communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solutions focused, proactive and practical problem solver, able to solve complex problems and remain calm
- Comfortable using technology as a tool to communicate and monitor i.e. Google Workspace, Asana, Airtable, Adobe Pro, Zoom, Slack, and other softwares as needed
